Honoring Those Who Built EMC: Awards Ceremony
As we reflect on the journey of EMC, it is important to recognize the individuals whose sacrifice, vision, and commitment laid the foundation for everything we see today.
Our founding fathers believed deeply in the cause. They invested not only their ideas, but also their time, energy, physical effort, and personal finances to build an organization that could serve our community and future generations. Their dedication was never about recognition; it was about service and responsibility.
Founding leaders:
Dr. Kebire Ahmed
Dr. Kemal Neberay
Dr. Mohammed Beshir
Dr. Abdulqani Zekeria
Omar Houry
Abdella Adem
Ibrahim Omer
Eng. Kebire Mousa
These brothers carried the early vision of EMC with sincerity and perseverance, often working behind the scenes and making sacrifices that many people never saw.
We are also grateful for those who served EMC consistently for more than two decades and helped lead significant projects, programs, and community initiatives. Their steady commitment provided continuity and strength through many different phases of the organization’s growth.
Over 20 years of dedicated service:
Hassen Mia
Abdella Falol
Eng. Kowser Arahman
Rekia Mahmoud
Leila Abdulrahim
Abdurahman Nurhussen
For more than twenty years, they continued to show up, contribute, organize, mentor, and serve the community with remarkable consistency.
In addition, there are those whose 15–18 years of service marked a turning point for youth participation within EMC. Their efforts helped create space for younger generations to become involved, lead, and feel a sense of belonging in the community.
15–18 years of service and a turning point for youth engagement:
Almaz Faloul
Camilia Aberra
Akrem Saed
Their contribution was not only in programs and events, but in inspiring young people to step forward, participate, and carry the mission of EMC into the future.
May Allah reward all of them abundantly for every hour, every effort, every donation, every meeting, every project, and every sincere intention. The strength of EMC today stands on the sacrifices and dedication of many brothers and sisters who served quietly and faithfully for the sake of the Allah to empower communities.
