EMC‘s first ever Cultural Night on August 16, 2013 is bound to be an exciting, eventful introduction to this year‘s convention program! Check out all the activities planned and how you can get involved!
- BAZAAR: Ladies and gentlemen, sell your clothing, jewelry, food, art, books, henna etc. at our evening bazaar on site at the Berkeley High School. Get ready for a fun, social time and shopping experience with your EMC community members–and boon, of course! To sign up as a vendor (it‘s free!)
- CULTURAL SHOW: Men, women, boys and girls are needed to showcase our traditional Eritrean clothing. We want to celebrate the diversity in our community and our Eritrean heritage! **We ask ALL attendees to please wear your traditional cultural clothing on Friday, August 16, the first day of the convention!
- CHILDREN‘S NASHEED: We‘re looking for any children who would like to perform nasheeds for our attendees!
- EMC IDOL: This is our youth entertainment and talent competition. Submit your act by August 11th in order to compete. Materials must fit EMC Idol guidelines to qualify and winners will be announced that night. If you can‘t make the deadline, please email us anyways and we‘ll work with you!
